Location. The Morris House Hotel is located in the city center of Philadelphia, Penn., in the historic district of Society Hill. The hotel is two blocks from the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Restaurants, the theatre district, the Pennsylvania Convention Center and lively South Street are all within one half mile of the hotel.
Features. This 1787 boutique hotel, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, showcases classic 18th century Colonial style. The hotel offers gourmet dining at M Restaurant and Bar, which includes dining room and patio seating. Complimentary continental breakfasts are served each morning in one of two dining rooms showcasing original fireplaces. Meeting rooms, banquet facilities and complimentary wireless Internet access are available. The Morris House Hotel's garden courtyard often serves as a venue for small weddings and private parties. Pets are not allowed at this property.
Guestrooms. The Morris House Hotel offers 15 guestrooms and extended suites. All accommodations are equipped with private bathrooms with showers and/or baths. Expert Tip. The Morris House derives its name from the many generations of the Morris family who occupied the home for 120 years. The Morris family contributed in substantial ways to Philadelphia history.
